

The square marker for Yellow Bluff is just below the red arrow. Bluff is a misnomer here, since this more like a point. It defines the end of Richardson Bay, in an oceanographic sense. Beyond Yellow Bluff you see the Golden Gate Bridge and feel the swells coming in from the Pacific Ocean while inside you are more sheltered from the ocean.
The rock ridge that forms the "Bluff" extends out into and under the water. So, unless you know what you are doing keep 30 m or so out from the point as you pass.
