The Physical Facility
OWRC leases space from the Schoonmaker Marina. The office and main shell storage area are in the 85 Liberty Ship Way building. Club and some private shells are stored here while a second storage room for private shells is in an adjacent building; a total of more than 120 shells. There are floating docks for each of the storage areas and they are protected from wave action even in high winds.

The office contains a changing booth and three Concept 2 rowing machines. Several books pertaining to rowing and an assortment of rowing apparel are available for purchase. Men's and woman's rest rooms, with hot showers, are nearby. Parking is available and permit decals are issued to members.

The Center's outboard powered launch, Rowsbud, is used for lessons and rescue. Videos are often made during lessons, and then reviewed in the office.

We are a dealer for Mass shells and oars can also be ordered through the Center.

Dan Alexander, our General Manager, waves from inside the main shell storage hall behind the office. Most of the boats are in moveable racks or hung from the walls. A few are hung in frames from the ceiling. Oars hang from racks on the walls. About half the boats here are private.

The second storage hall, entirely for private boats, is in an adjacent building.
