What it's like around OWRC, the water we row on, the roads we drive, here and away.

Here we see a double shell leaving the OWRC dock. There is a Club double and several private double shells.

Jason Weisberger got this photo of Open Water rower Perry Heffelfinger off Swede's Beach, Old Town Sausalito, at sunrise, January 2007. Alcatraz and the Bay Bridge are in the background. The herring have finally arrived to spawn and on the water you can see the net floats and a few seals looking for scraps.

Eileen Hansen, a few miles from the finish in the Los Angeles - Catalina Race.

In the middle of the Bay, or more precisely near Belvedere Point, looking at the Golden Gate Bridge on the left and Sausalito on the right. It really is this calm sometimes.

On the same calm day we are now pointing North-East. Raccoon Strait is dead ahead, Angel Island is on the right, and Richmond is in the distance.

Sunset from a shell (no, we were not smoking anything).

Around the pier (I think this is the HwWy 101 overpass).

Fog rolling in through the Golden Gate covers Angel Island.

Here we are in Ouray, Colorado on the Maas road trip.

Now we are heading for red rock country - Lee Ferry, Arizona.
